About Stephanie V. Dunkle

Stephanie V. Dunkle is a fine art artist who paints with a blend of realism and impressionism, using bright, happy colors to evoke a feeling of joy in the viewer. She paints intuitively by building up layers of paint developing shapes with light and shadow until the subject matter emerges, she then takes great care in the final details that bring the painting to life. Stephanie has painted numerous commissions in various themes, but not limited to: pet portraits, special memories like wedding/engagement, outdoor scenes, portraits, and still-lives. Stephanie is happiest when she can touch the heart of the viewer with her paintings, and evoke sweet memories through her commissioned paintings.

Stephanie has entered paintings in shows, and displayed and sold art in businesses and an art gallery. Stephanie studied art with a painting concentration at Canada College and San Jose State in California where she lived for most of her life. She now resides in the Nashville area of Tennessee. In between raising a family and teaching art, Stephanie did a lot of volunteer painting and drawing projects for her church, as well as painting on stage numerous times. As Stephanie’s artistic journey progressed, she realized that representing her faith in God is at the heart of her painting. She wants her paintings to make people happy and represent God’s creation in all it’s glory.
